Spring Break

For Spring Break we went up to Utah. We had so much fun! Here are some pictures from our fun escape!

First stop was St. George (well Washington), Utah. We had planned on seeing our friends the Lawthers (our friends form Rexburg) for a Saturday morning....but that turned into a day when we found out that my aunts were going to be out of town. We had such a blast. We got to take Jacen to his first Easter Egg Hunt!
ss
I forgot to pack him a basket (we were bound to forget something)...and so I sent Scott and Paka off on a scavenger hunt to find one (without a car...heaven forbid we should lose our parking space). The Egg Hunt was total ciaos. Jacen didn't even get a chance to use his basket. A lady saw it empty and threw some candy in it for him. It was crazy...I tried taking pictures of Makaio and this is the best I could get. Next time Mandy won't have me take pictures for her scrapbook...that's for sure!
You can't even tell what kid is hers!!

Here are the boys showing off their baskets of candy.

We also got a chance to see a house that Paka is building and the land that they are going to build their home on. It will be exciting to see the house when it is all finished!!
Here is a picture of Mandy and I...Paka escaped back to work before we thought to take a picture. Next time we will be sure to get a picture of all of us :)

[Okay, now like any picture taking event..it starts off really good, because you have to blog about it...but it always declines before your vacation ends. Which is probably a good thing since this post is long enough :)]

Day 2: Next stop, Payson, Utah to see the Moser Family (Scott's sister Denise's family) for Easter.

The kids dying their eggs, and Jacen coloring on his before placing it in a color.

And the final product. He was so excited, here he is talking to his daddy about it.

The Egg Hunt outside....Jacen really got the hang of it, but he hated touching the grass. It was so funny. Kids need grass...we need to move!!

Jacen tried to convince us that we needed a piano. Just look at that happy face. He could have spent every second on that piano!

Day 3: Then it was off to the Training Table with my family.

the kids and then the adults. Crystal and Michael were in town from Alpine, California (in the middle), and then Joey and Richelle. Total we had 9 kids...but one sat with the adults :)

Next stop Cabela's, where we all met up with Holly (my sister) and Damon...now raising the total number of kids to 12.

The kids loved that we let them run around in the carts...here are some of the kids.

And our most recent family photo:

Day 4: We visited the Bear's (some friends of Scott's from before we were married...but I claim them too)

and the Jofee's (our friends, from Rexburg and Chicago).

Day 5: To the Barney's (Scott's sister Tekoa)

and then to the Kober's (Scott's sister Treana)

We got to go look at their house that is being built. It was fun to see it in the process. Here are some pictures of Jacen with the animals. Katelyn and Jacen are playing with the dogs through the fence. Then Uncle Phil put Jacen on the horse...he didn't like that so much. He cried until we let him back by the dogs.

Day 6: Run errands....spend lots of money at Mervyn's huge sale!!

Day 7: Go see the Elmers (my friend, Eliza, from Encinitas). We first met up at a new kid restaurant called Max and Cheese and then over to their house for some extended playtime for Jacen and Annie.

(I love this picture, I just imagine Annie saying, "now, mom that was a great idea for me to get in here, but he can't even push me". She just looks so bummed out!)

Day 9: To Vegas we go! Grandpa Dauenhauer here we come!

Day 10: Attend sacrament in Vegas Spend more time with Grandpa before heading home. Here Jacen is chillin in the back seat.

We arrived home Sunday just an hour to spare before our Home Teaching appointment.
(Now, did you notice I never put any dates?? this all happened over a month ago....oh well...I bet Easter gave it away...there you have it, our 10 day Spring Break, in a nut shell.)
