You know it has been a long time when...

I now realize how long it has been since I have been away from Blogs...and here are some clues from you guys:

1- Receiving comments such as these,
Um... *ahem* Is this thing on?
Ok...so...do you KNOW how long ago Spring Break was???
You have to have Something to blog about!!! It's summer...and you have a stinkin' cute little boy! There...now you were reminded of 2 reasons to do a post!!!!
Where are you?!

2- I am trying to catch up on all of you, and I am having to click "older posts" to catch up :(

3- I remembered my sister-in-law tagged me awhile back. I had to search her blog for it. It was back on May 5th and I still have not done it (although my sister Holly was tagged and well I don't remember her doing it either! And she is like blogging queen!).

List of "Friends and Family"

Okay so first things first!! I just added a "friends and family" list on my sidebar. If your information is not there, please let me know. I am sure I have missed some. We have a new computer so it is aways fun moving everything over :) I will now be using those links to read up on everyones life...so if you are not there, PLEASE let me know!

Spring Break

For Spring Break we went up to Utah. We had so much fun! Here are some pictures from our fun escape!

First stop was St. George (well Washington), Utah. We had planned on seeing our friends the Lawthers (our friends form Rexburg) for a Saturday morning....but that turned into a day when we found out that my aunts were going to be out of town. We had such a blast. We got to take Jacen to his first Easter Egg Hunt!
ss
I forgot to pack him a basket (we were bound to forget something)...and so I sent Scott and Paka off on a scavenger hunt to find one (without a car...heaven forbid we should lose our parking space). The Egg Hunt was total ciaos. Jacen didn't even get a chance to use his basket. A lady saw it empty and threw some candy in it for him. It was crazy...I tried taking pictures of Makaio and this is the best I could get. Next time Mandy won't have me take pictures for her scrapbook...that's for sure!
You can't even tell what kid is hers!!

Here are the boys showing off their baskets of candy.

We also got a chance to see a house that Paka is building and the land that they are going to build their home on. It will be exciting to see the house when it is all finished!!
Here is a picture of Mandy and I...Paka escaped back to work before we thought to take a picture. Next time we will be sure to get a picture of all of us :)

[Okay, now like any picture taking event..it starts off really good, because you have to blog about it...but it always declines before your vacation ends. Which is probably a good thing since this post is long enough :)]

Day 2: Next stop, Payson, Utah to see the Moser Family (Scott's sister Denise's family) for Easter.

The kids dying their eggs, and Jacen coloring on his before placing it in a color.

And the final product. He was so excited, here he is talking to his daddy about it.

The Egg Hunt outside....Jacen really got the hang of it, but he hated touching the grass. It was so funny. Kids need grass...we need to move!!

Jacen tried to convince us that we needed a piano. Just look at that happy face. He could have spent every second on that piano!

s
Day 3: Then it was off to the Training Table with my family.

the kids and then the adults. Crystal and Michael were in town from Alpine, California (in the middle), and then Joey and Richelle. Total we had 9 kids...but one sat with the adults :)

Next stop Cabela's, where we all met up with Holly (my sister) and Damon...now raising the total number of kids to 12.

The kids loved that we let them run around in the carts...here are some of the kids.

And our most recent family photo:

Day 4: We visited the Bear's (some friends of Scott's from before we were married...but I claim them too)

and the Jofee's (our friends, from Rexburg and Chicago).

Day 5: To the Barney's (Scott's sister Tekoa)

s
s
and then to the Kober's (Scott's sister Treana)

We got to go look at their house that is being built. It was fun to see it in the process. Here are some pictures of Jacen with the animals. Katelyn and Jacen are playing with the dogs through the fence. Then Uncle Phil put Jacen on the horse...he didn't like that so much. He cried until we let him back by the dogs.

Day 6: Run errands....spend lots of money at Mervyn's huge sale!!

Day 7: Go see the Elmers (my friend, Eliza, from Encinitas). We first met up at a new kid restaurant called Max and Cheese and then over to their house for some extended playtime for Jacen and Annie.

(I love this picture, I just imagine Annie saying, "now, mom that was a great idea for me to get in here, but he can't even push me". She just looks so bummed out!)

Day 8: The Anderson's (Joey and Richelle's)- Scott got to help tear down a wall in the basement.

Day 9: To Vegas we go! Grandpa Dauenhauer here we come!

s
Day 10: Attend sacrament in Vegas Spend more time with Grandpa before heading home. Here Jacen is chillin in the back seat.

We arrived home Sunday just an hour to spare before our Home Teaching appointment.
(Now, did you notice I never put any dates?? this all happened over a month ago....oh well...I bet Easter gave it away...there you have it, our 10 day Spring Break, in a nut shell.)

How many colors do you know?

This is a fun one...just list all the colors you can think of in 5 minutes. I couldn't believe how quickly I couldn't think of any more. Come on, you will be shocked with how many there are!

Jacen's Pictures

are here to view!! Lets just say it is harder to take pictures when they walk all over the place. Jacen was more interested in playing with the kid in the waiting area, then getting his picture taken. Oh well, they still turned out cute! To see the pictures just click HERE, and type in Stacia Phillips on the line provided. The picture we chose was P10. We also got some others for Scott's desk and scrapbooking purposes :) Enjoy!!

Last Week

I thought I would update you on some of last week’s happenings. Fist off, Jacen had his one year appointment. The poor kid was a "pin cushion" as Scott puts it. He got 4 shots/immunizations and then later in the week we had to go get his blood drawn. Did any of your kids have to do this? It was for anemia and lead. It was actually quite funny because he knew the nurses were up to no good. He kept undoing the rubberband thing they tied around his arm. Well, he is healthy and strong. He is now 21 pounds 12 ounces and 30 inches long.

On Valentines day it snowed here. Okay well this year it was
just flurries --this is my best picture of it.

Last year it was like this--but it did melt after 2 hours.

For Valentines Day Scott brought me to listen to a friend sing. It was really good. He got me Dove, which are my favorite by the way. Actually got one bag of Milk Chocolate and one of Milk Chocolate with Carmel....so good I tell you!! We decided to go get masages for Valentines Day so that is in the near future.

Scott's school district took Friday and Monday off, instead of two Monday's-- it was great. Actually yesterday Jacen went into our room, looked at the pile of blankets on our bed, and started laughing. I had to break the news to him, "Daddy had to go to work today". He was so sure he should still be home. It was cute. Okay not where I was planning on going with this post.....oh yes, Friday! So we were taking our car in to get oil change and electrical work done. I had Scott drop us off at Target and then he took the shuttle to meet us there. So I decided to try on some swimsuits once he got there. I was so excited about the "FAMILY" changing room. Yep, it had a picture of a DAD, MOM and CHILD. My thoughts are 'awesome....he can see the swimsuit if it looks cute without me having to show everyone else at target'. I was so excited, "Scott, would you guys like to come in, they have a family dressing room?" He says, "Sure". And then the worker goes on to tell us that is not allowed. What?? We are a family. She tells us it means that a mom can go in with her daughter, or son. Okay, LAME!! If you were going in with your daughter or son you would just look for a handicap sign, right?! You need a big dressing room--but a family dressing room should mean family, right?! Anyone else with me on this one?? Other than that Target was a good place to spend two or three hours. Jacen's favorite was the toy isle, naturally. Mine was the Valentine section, day after Valentines day = 50% off.
Well I think that is all that is worth writing about. Unless you want me to tell you that Jacen is sleeping in these days. Ever since he was an infant he would be up by 6:30 to see Scott of to work. For the last 3 days it has been atleast 8am :) I am able to get a lot done before he even wakes up. Including scripture study. I joined the Hinckley Challenge, I just joined so I have some catching up to do.
Here are some pictures from the week ;)

Toilet paper anyone???

"My momma's chubby, my dadda's chubby, even my dog is chubby..." (oh please tell me my family wasn't the only one)

Playing with his new truck and Otter Pops. He was really concentrating.

Jacen is in this stage of squinting his eyes when he sees the camera. Our appointment at JCPenney's will be interesting :)
